The design and engineering team at RSF is competent to engage in the early stages of product development with our customers. Our inputs and suggestions are based on 30+ years of experience in the industry, manufacturing springs, press parts and its variants. This interaction with the customer helps us arrive at an optimal solution, integrating design and manufacturing. For the time and efforts we put in, these services come at a nominal development charge.


Our engineering services begin from the correct selection of material. We work with a variety of materials including, but not restricted to carbon steels, stainless steels, phosphor bronze, aluminium and copper. We work with round wires, shaped wires (rectangular and square cross sections for example), sheets and strips of varying thicknesses. The selection of the right material is done taking into consideration various material characteristics, component application, product design and manufacturing feasibility. We keep a close eye on global material developments to ensure we can offer our customer the best and up to date solution.


Spring & Wireforms:

Spring design and development can be an iterative process. Our development engineers use modern technology and design software, to support our customers with feasibility studies, prototypes and samples. For springs, we can work with simple sketches, but we need to know the application of the component.

Press Parts:

For stamped parts using progressive and multislide technology, RSF has a fully developed tool manufacturing and maintenance infrastructure to support product development and serial production. We at RSF have designed and manufactured a variety of tools over the years, from simple stage tools to progressive tools with 21 stages. Our tool steels are built to last, with minimum maintenance and no breakage or failures during a production run, thereby maximizing the life of the tool to your benefit.

Our knowhow and experience in tool design ensures minimal material wastage thus increasing productivity and optimizing component costs. An in-house Tool Room assists us in the case of any special tooling requirements with faster turnaround times.
